Ice Caves in the Rexburg Area...about 30 minutes north of Rexburg actually. The road that goes up to the ice cave is Rutted and Super rough. Very cool cave. You will get wet, snow pants are recommended, as are winter gloves, the ice is very slippery and smooth so if you have good anti skid shoes or even better, cramp-ons of some sort it would have been ideal, but definitely can be done in just regular tennis shoes, just be careful. As for coldness I think a sweat shirt was plenty warm, but we did go in August. Its not a long cave but took us about 1 hour round trip, but mostly because we were playing on the ice slide at the end. Well worth the bumpy ride.

Caving / Spelunking Reviews for Rexburg Area Ice Caves Idaho
One cave is a crawl through with deep blue ice that means old. The 2nd is a walk through with sliding on your feet ice. Great for teens and older children.

We have been to a few caves and love it

The cave was full of ice with some of the ice being about 6 feet thick. It was pretty cold so take a sweater or a jacket. You may also need a rope just in case,

It is the first cave I have been through and went back once more that week. Everyone i have talked to has loved it. Great spot to go!

The slide in th third cavern was the funnest part.
