The Firth River Bottoms is a semi-developed camping area. NO FEES. Some sites have tables and campfire rings. It is right on the Snake River so there is fishing, hiking, & camping canoeing. This is a good area for Boy Scout outings. All most anything but rock climbing. Beaver, deer, turkey, and other river bottom animals are often seen there. It is a first come no reservation type area. There is a shelter in one area.

You can canoe to or from the Firth River Bottoms. If you want to canoe to them, put in below the Gem Lake Marina Dam in Idaho Falls. If you want to canoe from pull out in Blackfoot.

You can hike around in the trees. This is a good place to set up an orienteering course or go geocaching.
