Beautiful hills & river make this a scenic and remote camp site. This is an official campground (I assume set up by BLM?) It is free camping with no on-site management, and probably nothing more than a few odd cabins for 15-20 miles, well into the hills/mountains. A bulletin board posts the few basic rules (if I remember correctly, basically no fireworks and take your trash with you.) There are fire pits at several sites near each other. Does not appear to be a heavily used camp.

The site sits along the Blackfoot river, which is good for fishing and kayaking/canoeing.

Caution for boaters, my understanding is that the upstream section of the Blackfoot river is class 2, but downstream is a debated higher class and a few experienced kayakers have been killed. Know what you're doing if you boat, especially downstream of the site. There are sites online with more information specific to boating.
