Whitewater rafting on the Hoback is semi mild and fun to take kids. There are several nice rapids and its pretty exciting. The two major rapid locations are the Big Kahuna wave and Lunch Counter wave. In early spring and wet years, these two waves can reach Class IV. Most of the time and later in summer the waves are Class III.

Just before you get to the two big waves you can pull out on the south side of the river and watch other rafters take the waves. This is also a good location to stop for lunch. There are no vending machines at either location, so bring your own lunch/dinner.

Dressing rooms and pit toilets are available at the bottom and top of the run.
