Situated between the QEW Highway and Lake ontario on the west side of St. Catharines. Take the QEW and exit at Seventh street, go north to the North Service road and turn Left. The park is on you rirght about .5km Charles Daley Park is a great access point offering you a choice of venturing out into Lake Ontario or exploring Fifteen or Sixteen mile creek. Sixteen mile creek is a better choice.

This location is day-use only and will take approximately 1/2 day.

If you're looking for somewhere to do some recreational paddling, relaxing, fishing or swimming, I can't think of a better place in the region than Charles Daley Park. In comparison to many other waterfront parks in Niagara, Charles Daley is relatively quiet, especially on weekends. The parks has been undergoing some upgrades - probably the most important feature to paddlers is the washroom building.

You enter at the mouth of the Sixteen Mile Creek and paddle under the Queen Elizabeth Highway and head out to the large body of water. On sunny days there are a lot of large turtles that sun themselves on the secluded shoreline.

About a 1/2hr paddle into the "creek" you will come across a beautiful, deserted, and secluded island which has a great beach on the south (windward) side and is great to eat lunch at, and relax.

Be sure to Leave No Trace here as it is a small island and will get overused very quickly.
