Take the QEW to Highway 406 Exit

Follow the 406 right to the end

Turn LEFT and go through the big tunnel

Turn RIGHT onto Highway 140

Follow Highway 140 right to the end

Turn LEFT towards the town of Port Colborne

Continue On through Port Colborne which turns into Highway 3

Turn LEFT at Quarry Road (Listed as Quarrie Road on google maps)

Sadly, a day-trip only.

The Wainfleet Wetlands hold a large set of quarries, one on each side of the road with a small bridge across them. You can park near the quarry and portage a short distance (10m) to the waters edge.

There is lots of wildlife here in the more desolate sections of the quarry. Normally on nice sunny days many young women are seen on the shores in bikini's

Surrounding the Wainfleet Wetlands Quarries are several hiking trails which run along the ridge of the two quarries. During your day hike you will come across many, many fossils here embedded in the rock.

Sadly, a day-trip only.

The quarry has several trails which in winter are excellent for cross country skiing. However it is *not* advisable to ski on the quarry itself as the ice may be thin.

Throughout the wainfleet quarry there are several trails which are suitable for mountain biking, including the multi-use trail which runs along the old railway line near the quarry.

Running beside the quarry is a large trail which used to be an old Canadian National Railroad which has now been turned into a trail for horses
