Head So. Hwy 150 from Evanston Wy. Travel about 35 miles until you get to the Whitney Res. (Sr 32) Gold Hill turn off. Here there is a place to unload horses or start hiking. Head East and cross the stream. Early season it is unpassable by foot as the water is too high. You will be fine on horse. Travel E. on the foot path threw a small canyon until you come to a forest service road. Turn right (South) and travel on the the road for another 1.5 miles. You will then come to a Wilderness sign. from here the road turn to a foot path. Go another 2.5 miles and you will be at the lake. There is spring water, grass and good camping around.
