Take Can Ada Rd s to Victory Ln. There is a park that also has petroglyphs you can drive on the dirt road past the main buildings to the locked fence. it is a short hike to halverson lake but the trail is pretty well marked. This will put you at the bottom of the Snake River Canyon. It is great to explore. This canyon was created by the great Bonneville flood centuries ago. There are huge boulders all along the canyon floor.
