Camp 3 wave is found at the end of the Cables Rapid in the Upper section of the Kern River just north of Kernville, CA. To get there drive north on Hwy 99 out of Kernville. Turn into Camp 3 campground. Wave is located just below campsite number 38. Unfortunately this site seems to be reserved every weekend.

The wave is easily accessed from an eddie on river left. Wave seems best at flow rates around 2000 cfs though still fun around 1200 & below. At higher flows the smaller second wave is great for cartwheels and the like. Access just below campsite # 38 or just run the Cables to Powerhouse run and find this with a few others along the way.
