Roosevelt is a grassy park with a nice little beach. On the west side of the park there is a cove where people launch their kites.
The cove gets gradually deeper as you wade out and the bottom is generally sandy, but there are some rocks to watch out for.
You can camp overnite at the park and there is a boat ramp nearby.
