Prairie Oaks Metro Park Ohio

Cross-country skiing is offered on four of the trails at Prairie Oaks Metro Park. They range in distance from .3 miles up to 5.7 miles. The Coneflower (south) trail is 1.7 miles and is considered moderate to difficult while the Tallgrass and Mound Trail are much shorter and are easier trails. The scenery for these trails are wonderful as there are variations from grasslands to lake views depending on which trail you are on.

There are 11 trails that you can take a hike on at Prairie Oaks. They range from .3 miles up to 3.4 with varying ranges of difficulty. Most of the trails are grass or dirt surfaces and at times can be a bit uneven. Along these trails you will come across grasslands, prairie, and water areas. The Darby Creek Greenway is ADA accessible.

Horseback riding is permitted on the Bridle Trail which is a 5.7 mile trail. It is a grass and dirt surface that will bring you through fields, woodlands, and prairies.
