From Columbus:

Take the I-70 W/I-71 S ramp toward DAYTON/CINCINNATI.
Merge onto OH-315 S.
OH-315 S becomes I-71 S.
Take the OH-665/LONDON-GROVEPORT RD exit, EXIT 97.
Turn RIGHT onto LONDON-GROVEPORT RD/OH-665.
Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto LONDON-GROVEPORT RD/OH-665/CR-3.
Take the 1st RIGHT onto LONDON-GROVEPORT RD/OH-665. Continue to follow OH-665.
Turn LEFT onto SPRING VALLEY RD/CR-71.
Turn LEFT onto WOOD LN.

There is a half mile hiking trail through Madison Lake State Park. This is the Sugar Maple Hiking Trail which will take you through some woodlands and along Madison Lake. You can access this trail off of Wood Lane.

The trail is relatively flat and is more of a nature trail to take young children on. I would not call this a hike, but more of a good place to let kids spend some energy on a summer day. The trail is mostly shaded and a dirt path.

The trailhead is next to some restrooms and a picnic shelter. There are some horseshoe pits close to the shelter.
