Mill Creek Canyon Big Water Yurt Utah

The Big Water Yurt is available to rent through the Salt Lake County Parks and Rec department starting December 1 typically going through April. Has enough room for 8 people. Nightly rental is about $75 a night and there is a deposit required. Due to it's proximity to Salt Lake City, this Yurt rents out very quickly.

There is a wood burning stove and firewood is supplied. The yurt has a table with benches and a couple of lanterns. 2 dogs are allowed in the yurt only during January and March.

You'll need to pack in your own food and bedding. There is a pot provided at the yurt for melting snow in to water.

There is no fee to ski. The trails are groomed atleast once a week and they try to do it twice a week. Once before and after the weekend. The trail is about 4.5 miles in and out and elevation gain is around 1500 feet. Dogs are allowed on even numbered caledar days. Takes about 6 hours to do a complete in and out trip.

It is very common to see other people using the trail especially near the beginning of the trail. Overall this is an easy to moderate trail in difficulty.

Snowshoes are allowed on the trail and have the same rules as the cross country description.
