One of the coolest features of this yurt is the bubble observation in the top of the yurt. It provides a complete 360ยบ view of the beautiful canyon and the stars at night. There is a little seat to sit on while up in the bubble.

The Bloomington Canyon Yurt has 2 bunks with pads and sleep 4 each, 1 fold out bed that sleeps 2, and 2 cots that sleep 1 each. There is a wood burning stove, gas cook stove, pots and pans, dishes for eating and rinking, coffee maker, lights (solar powered), a pit toilet, and wood is provided.

You need to bring your own food, avalanche beacon with extra batteries is recommended in this area, a shovel, sunglasses and sunscreen.

Cost is currently $85 per night. There is a $20 discount to rent the yurt if you are a student at Weber State.

The trail is 7.3 miles each way and has a 1600ft elevation gain on the way in. There are snowmobiles in the area, remember you hear them before they see you so be cautious. Do not depart any later than 9:00 am so that you will arive before it gets dark at the yurt. It takes about half a day on skis to get to the yurt.

Before heading out on this trail you'll need to be able to read maps or use GPS units.
