From Columbus:
Take I-71 N towards CLEVELAND.
Merge onto I-76 E/US-224 E via EXIT 209A.
Take the STATE ST exit, EXIT 17A.
Turn RIGHT onto W STATE ST.
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto 5TH ST NE/OH-619. Continue to follow OH-619.
Turn RIGHT onto MANCHESTER RD/OH-93.
The entrance to the park is on the left.

Portage Lake State Park offers 4 trails for running or hiking. The first one is the Planet Walk Trail. This is a one mile trail that can be accessed off Manchester Road on the southern end of the park. Parking is available in the lot near the park office. This trail will bring you past the A.C.A Observatory and to the edge of the park boundary. It then leads past the launch ramp and ends at the Rex Lake beach area.
