From I-280 near Redwood City, take Exit 28 at Woodside Rd. / RT 84 and head West.
Stay on RT 84 and cross Skyline Blvd.
Go through the town of La Honda.
Turn left onto Pescadero Rd.
Continue to Memorial Park entrance on the left.

Pescadero Creek is a fun place for young families to play in the water. I wouldn't really consider this a swimming hole, but you can get wet and have a lot of fun wading here.

The Creek Trail is not even a mile long, but it's a good introductory hike for young kids. They can play in the creek.
