From Escalante take Hwy 12 northeast to Hwy 24 to the Capitol Reef Visitors Center.

To reach the waterfall and swimming hole from the Capitol Reef Visitor Center take 24 east for about 6.5 miles to the parking area. (Mile marker 86.5). There is a large paved parking area on the north side of the highway. The waterfall is close to the parking area.

Fremont Falls in Capital Reef is an excellent swimming hole. There is a waterfall making a large pool below. There is a smooth set of rocks you can slide down to one side of the main falls. The slide is reached from a ledge behind the falls.

Fremont Falls are not on the map, but the parking area is hard to miss if you use the coordinates given. It's between mile 85 and 86. Just watch for a parking area on the north side of the road and then hike a little ways to the falls. You can hear them from the parking area.

There's no fee to enter the park. There are no facilities at the swimming hole, just a parking area.
