The lake is an excellent place to canoe, kayak, fish, wind surf, sail and motorboat. However, the weather can change rapidly in this valley, bringing sudden high winds, especially in the afternoon.
All boats must be hand carried to the lake, there are no ramps, from the parking lot.
One of the most beautiful times to go is in early morning, when it's misty and quiet.
